Students At Manston St James we place a big emphasis on student voice. We have a thriving school council, a number of initiatives at playtimes which the children lead and our curriculum is heavily based on what our children would like to learn and how they would like to learn. Play Leaders and Games Makers Play Leaders help to organise and run our lunchtime activities. As well as working with other children and making a real difference to the school you can also earn your Primary Leadership Awards. If you are interested in becoming a Play Leader then speak to Mrs Lucas who will give you an application form. Games Makers fulfil the same duties as Play Leaders at lunchtime but also organise games and play equipment at playtimes. They have been trained in Peer Mediation and can help other children solve conflicts. To find out more about Peer Mediation please take a look at our PowerPoint below produced by a group of Y5 pupils.
